In order to uniformly
determine the need of students applying for financial assistance, all
applicants must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and
indicate Clarkson College (federal school code 009862) as a recipient of the
results. Clarkson College's award year begins with the Fall semester and
concludes with the Summer semester. The priority deadline for submitting the
FAFSA is March 1. A FAFSA submitted after March 1 will always be considered,
but availability of funds cannot be ensured. If eligible, the student will be
offered, by official award letter, a financial aid package consisting of one or
more types of assistance. The student may accept the aid in total or in part.
To be considered for
financial aid, a student must also:
- be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
- not be in default on a federal student loan or
owe a refund to any federal financial aid program at any institution.
- be admitted into a degree-seeking eligible
program at Clarkson College.
- be enrolled in at least six credit hours for
each semester the student wishes to be considered for financial aid.
- submit additional documents or information as
requested by the Student Financial Services Department.
