All new undergraduate Fast
Track, Traditional BSN and Practical Nursing students, are required to complete
the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS). This examination must be taken on
campus and will be administered through the Success Center.
Students are responsible
for scheduling a time to take the examination following completion of all
health and safety requirements and payment of the non-refundable enrollment
deposit.
Results of the examination
will be reviewed by the student and their academic advisor during their
registration meeting. Advisors will assist the student in course selection and,
based upon examination results, choose courses designed to provide the student
with the necessary skills to be successful in their program of study. Follow-up
assessments may be implemented to measure academic achievement.
